In Episode Seventeen of Hawkeyed with Dave O’Hara, Dave starts off the show with a quick opening monologue, talking about the show guest lineup and then chats with show sponsor Joe Merschman, president and CEO of Merschman Seeds. HawkeyeInsider.com’s David Eickholt joins Dave to wrap up the first segment discussing the Top 10 Nationally ranked U of Iowa MBB team’s past and upcoming games.

Segment two is Dave joined by Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneer offensive lineman and former Iowa Hawkeye OL Tristan Wirfs and former Iowa Hawkeye and current Buffalo Bill offensive lineman Ike Boettger. Tristan and Ike update O’Hara about events that happened before and during their playing days at the U of Iowa, leading to their current careers of playing in the NFL, culminating in this year’s Super Bowl win by Wirfs, future Hall of Fame QB Tom Brady and his other Buccaneer teammates.

Segment three features Jeff Horner, a former Hawkeye mens basketball star and current head coach of Truman State mens basketball. Jeff talks with Dave about the #9 Nationally ranked Hawkeye MBB team and the Big Ten basketball season so far, as well as an update on his #3 Nationally ranked in Division II Truman State Bulldogs. Dave then closes out segment three and his show with thank yous for guests, advertisers and viewers.
